Nike Air Jordan 12 (XII) first released in 1997. Michael Jordan wore the Air Jordan 12 as he and the Bulls won their 5th NBA Championship making these just another part of the history of Michael Jordan. The Air Jordan 12 is wrapped in ribbed leather that is stitched to resemble the Japanese army flag that inspired the design. Also The Air Jordan 12 got started with a woman's fashion shoe from the 19th century called "Nisshoki". The Nike Air Jordan 12 is the first Air Jordan 12 equipped with a Zoom Air Unit, modified herringbone pattern for improved traction and a more improved carbon fiber shank plate. Nike Air Jordan 12 was the first shoes have no trace of the Swoosh or any Nike logo on it. The new colorway sports a 3M reflective, white leather upper contrasted by dark black detailing on the sock liner, heel, mudguard, and sole unit. Additional special edition features on the sneaker include wood grain eyelets and traditional text on the tongue reading "貳拾" or "12".
New Jordans 2016 latest pack of Chinese New Year sneakers is a diverse one, offering new and old models and even a girls/grade school sized exclusive via this Air Jordan 12. The shoe has a cream colorway, hardwood detailing, and characters on the tongue referencing the 20 years that Jordan Brand has been doing business in China for. There is a silver lining, though – Jordan Brand has just recently unveiled a new Taxi-inspired colorway of the Jordan 12 dubbed the "Chinese New Year" edition. The new colorway follows the color scheme of the Taxi colorway, but has the silhouette donning an array of detailed textures on the mudguard and heeltab. Additionally, the new colorway will feature a special Chinese New Year logo on the tongue and insole while the look is rounded out with a fully reflective upper. If you ask most experienced Air Jordan collectors what their favorite colorway of the Jordan 12 silhouette is, the answer you’ll likely receive is the "Taxi" colorway of the sneaker.
New Air Jordan Shoes, The male version of the kicks are reminiscent of the classic 'Taxi' colorway but ditches the stingray textured mudguard for a new woodgrain-esque pattern and 3M reflective upper. The ladies version of the kicks features an off-white hue complete with red accents. Both pairs feature bamboo detailing on the ankle collar shoelace eyelets and midsole tabs. The Air Jordan 12 “Chinese New Year” is also releasing in a Girls-exclusive colorway in January 2017. Much like the Mens pair that resembles the OG Taxi colorway, this Air Jordan 12 CNY features traditional textiles on the mudguard as well as Chinese detailing on the tongue and insoles. This Girls release will be available in extended sizing up to 9.5Y (same as 9.5 mens). A lot of sneaker empires are celebrating Chinese New Year but we don't think anyone is doing it the way the Jumpman is. We've seen two new takes on the AJ XII as well as a brand new rendition of the Air Jordan XXXI as well. But today, we're focusing on the Air Jordan XII 'Chinese New Year' Pack, one for the ladies and one for the fellas.
There will in fact be an Air Jordan 12 "Chinese New Year" release. Jordans 2017 brings back the famous "Taxi" colorway, supplementing with woodgrain style detailing, textile overlays, and Chinese character logos. The white upper doubles as a reflective beacon under the right light, too. Similar to the GS release, this shoe will feature the Chinese text on the tongue, "貳拾", which translates to ’12’ but this shoe will flaunt the classic color scheme of black and white, similar to the AJ 12 Taxi. The uppers will be covered in white leather, which will inherit a 3M reflective overlay that activates when exposed to flash. There will be woodgrain detailing implemented on the miniature branded side panels and on the two upper eyelets as well as textured black leather covering the mudguard and heel tab. This shoe will come in a special packaged box along with a dust bag with gold detailing.
