Jordans 2017 All-Star festivities will bring a special Air Jordan 6 colorway commemorating all of Michael Jordan's accomplishments in the ASG on February 17th. The following weekend the Air Jordan 12 "Playoff" will release in a new low-top form. Late February and March brings both an Air Jordan 8 and Air Jordan 6 release, each described as "Alternate" which could continue Jordan's revisionist's history on sample colorways that could've released back in the 1990s. For the Jordan 31, the conversation started when Michael called the sneaker design team to his annual summer basketball camp in Santa Barbara. He gave them an edict: Go back and look at the three decades of product that Jordan Brand had created. Then build off that history to create something fresh. Whenever the team at Jordan Brand begins working on a new game shoe, they start with Michael Jordan himself. That's because the games shoes are the spine of the company—reaching all the way back to the Jordan 1 and informing everything else under the Jordan umbrella. They are the front guard: displaying the best technological and design advancements while setting a tone for the brand's overarching philosophy.
The New Jordans 2016 line originated back in 1984 when Michael Jordan himself wore them as a rookie. After signing MJ to a $2.5 million (plus royalties), the first product was produced. In 1985 Nike designed Jordan's first shoe the Air Jordan 1. The Air Jordan line features a unique logo; our beloved Jumpman. The Jumpman logo was first introduced on the Air Jordan 3. The logo has now become iconic being used on both sneakers and apparel. The Air Jordan craze began when the NBA originally banned the first pair, due to the lack of white present on the shoe. Michael wore them anyway and the marketing campaign for Nike was set. The brand has yet to slow down it's progressive ways, proving that they are still pushing the limits with their innovative, new technologies.
New Air Jordan Shoes Accented in the Hornets' signature teal and purple team colors and adorned with the letters "CHA," the Air Jordan 10 Retro "Charlotte" shoe is the newest to launch in the brand's "City Series" collection. The footwear line, which includes versions for Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and other cities, is a throwback to the original Air Jordan X series released in 1995. A list of Jordan' professional basketball accomplishments from 1985 "to beyond" can be found on the shoe's teal and purple sole. Cult Miami sneaker store SoleFly has previewed its forthcoming Air Jordan collaboration with a baseball-themed teaser sent out via Twitter. Hot on the heels of a repurposed version of the Jordan Eclipse, SoleFly – which launched in 2010 – is set to drop its take on the as-yet-unnamed Jordan model to tie in with the return of playoff baseball. The video features archive footage of the Florida Marlins (now known as the Miami Marlins) lifting their first MLB championship trophy in 1997, set to whet the appetite for sneakerheads and baseball fans alike.
