Sneaker News is practically buzzing with excitement as Nike releases the Air Jordan 11 Low "Bred". This sneaker model was originally released in the year 1996 and is an exclusive for Michael Jordan player. But now, you can have it in celebration of Air Jordan’s 30 years in the industry. One of the more attention-grabbing Air Jordan silhouettes, the Air Jordan 11 design is based on the classic tuxedo dress shoe. Designed by Tinker Hatfield while hoping MJ would return to the NBA, the shoe is composed of ballistic nylon mesh along the top half, with shiny patent leather sitting below. We’ve also seen low-top versions release that do away with the patent leather look. While patent leather has a formal look, it also served a true purpose. The material was more lightweight than traditional leather, and tended not to stretch as much, which would help Michael’s feet stay within the bounds of the footbed while committing hard cuts or slashes. The Air Jordan 11 Low "Bred" is only a month away, and we can't wait! The sneaker is decked out in everything you expect a "Bred" 11 to have. Black mesh/patent leather on the upper is contrasted with Varsity red hits on the translucent sole, inner lining, and branding. Complete with a white midsole sandwiched between the two, this is one sneaker you don’t want to sleep on. Slated to hit retailers May 23rd for $170, Cheap Jordan 13 GS Hyper Pink, let us know if you plan on copping below! The whole body of the Bred is done in black with red accents at the edge of the mouth. The tongue, shoelaces, as well as eyelets are all done in basic black, thus providing a clean and undisturbed flow to the color. The shoelaces are circular instead of flat, which should reduce the frustration when tying up these kicks before a game. The trim features a more distinctive black design, somewhat glossy extending all the way to the heel.To balance the black, the sole is done in a very clean white with the outsole being a smooth translucent red. On top of the heel is the unmistakable red Jump Man logo with the number 23 stitched right above the icon. The inside is also done in black, the icon appearing right where your heels are placed when wearing the shoes. The bottom is a classic ridged design with the Jump Man which is seen through the translucent layer of red. Stylish ridges along the side of the outsole are also visible, but not something you can automatically see from the design.
Today we get a look at the first retail set of images for the Air Jordan 11 Low "Georgetown". We doubt that Jordan Brand will ever push the envelope as far as giving the real UNC rival Duke Blue Devils a callout on a sneaker, but as far as the Hoyas go, they're deeply entrenched in the MJ mythos. His game winning shot in the NCAA National Championship game gave the man all the confidence he needed, and the rest is history. The latest patent leather lowtop is slated for an April 11th release, as the cordura mesh fabric features a subtle Grey Mist aesthetic to contrast with the Midnight Navy mudguard. Throw in the signature icy outsole, and there’s no doubt that this Air Jordan 11 Low pair will come with added excitement. Are you a fan of the look? Be sure to check out more photos after the break and grab your pair on 4/11 for $170.When it comes to comfort, the 2015 Air Jordans is unbeatable, thus providing a soft cushioning support that will keep you going throughout the day. As a sports shoe, you just know that the Air Jordan 11 Low "Bred" is meant for long term abuse and can withstand the pressure of daily and insistent use.
Earlier today Sneaker News showed you a sample pair of the Air Jordan XI Low "Concord", seen on the feet of Michael Jordan and on SoleFly purveyor Carlos Prieto. Looks like he's got another sick sample for us – the Air Jordan XI Low in the "Bred" colorway. Like the Concord low, these are indeed a sample of a sample, as the "Bred" low-top version of the patent-leather Air Jordan XI was also a sample from 1996. This 2011 sample version features a red inner lining (consistent with the '96 sample) and a black synthetic leather upper instead of ballistic nylon mesh. Will these release? You can bank on that new White/Red/Black colorway hitting stores this Summer 2012, but for now, both the "Bred" and "Concord" versions are just in the sample stage at this point. Check out another shot of MJ wearing these samples a decade and a half ago below and let us know what you think.
