Miss out on the Air Jordan 5 "Grape" back in 2006? You’ll have another shot this year. Today from Jordan Brand, we get official images of the upcoming retro. Smooth white leather runs the base, with purple popping up on the midsole and tongue. Emerald green graces the branding, mesh marks the midfoot, and black highlights the lining and heel. These are set to release on May 4th, 2013 at select Jordan Brand accounts.
It takes some amount of courage to sacrifice a pair of Women Pink Jordans for the sake of a custom colorway. It takes another level entirety to be able to let yours get ripped into shreds for the sake of a gas mask. That’s not to say you’re not gonna get quality work, as Freehand Profit definitely knows what he’s doing, but we’d imagine it’s still tough to see a favorite pair go in the name of art. This latest work appropriates the Air Jordan V "Grape", doing particularly well with the purple tongue of those shoes. It took a while for another Air Jordans 5 for sale to hit since the White/Black-Fire Red joints released in January(so much for 2013 for being all about the Air Jordan V), but the wait was well worth it as Jordan Brand prepares to release the Air Jordan V "Grape" – the first time since the first Retro back in 2006. Later in June, Jordan Brand will pair these up with the "Black Grape", so if you have thoughts of copping the set, you had better not miss out on this release!

Previous "Grape" vs. "Black Grape" comparisons resulted in our readers choosing the OG over the newer Retro version, but that results is really no surprise, is it?  The Air Jordan V "Black Grape" is indeed a spicy release, but we figure the upcoming Air Jordan V "Grape" will be met with equal or more fanfare – especially since these are releasing right as the nice Summer months are approaching. The official release date is roughly a month away, new Jordans for sale,  so peep this new set of images after the jump and let us know if these are the best Summer 2013 release!
