The Nike Air Mag Shoes is the first rechargeable footwear from Nike. They were designed as identical replicas worn by Marty McFly in the Back to the Future II movie. Some of the elements include the upper contours, the glowing LED panel and the electroluminescent Nike logo in the strap. The Nike Air Mag shoes actually illuminates with the pinch of the ear of the high top, glowing for five hours per charge and a total of 3000 hours for the life of the battery.They are the first rechargeable pair of footwear by Nike.

From what I understand, technology has finally caught up to this crazy movie scene and Nike is going to be creating the Air Mag "Marty McFly" shoes sometime soon. From the images I have seen so far in the actual U.S. patent application (shown below), the resemblance to the original movie shoe is very similar, although when actually put to design, will probably have a more modern look.
